In addition, most outfits pay you 40 hours for each week that yer off (base pay).
Also a R/T plane ticket home and back (or to where ever).
Also yer FR's & PPE's (fire retardant clothing & safety gear).
These MUST be worn by ALL people at every site - no exceptions!
Even support people and visitors must wear them (shuttle drivers, etc.).
You can be tossed off the site in a minute if you don't have full gear.
And they're not cheap so make sure you check on who pays for them.
It goes without saying that there is no smoking on site or in the lobby of a MC.
I've seen idiots who can't go 5 min without a cigarette get into deep trouble over this.
The man camps do have designated smoking areas only and they do watch.
Fortunately for me I'm in a trailer so I don't hafta put up with that stuff.

How much does it cost to stay in a man camp? How much will you spend monthly on food? Are they easy to get into?

Employer usually pays for everything. Myself and all of my co-workers(100+) don't come out of pocket for anything.

Food & lodging are free at the man camps.
I do not live at one when I'm up there.
I'm in a trailer park a mile or so in back of the Wal-Mart beyond the new post office.
I have seen people not living in the man camps sneak their meals in the cafeteria.
They're pretty lax and just about anyone can grab a meal if they're in-between shifts.
There are so many residents that nobody knows anyone from Adam in these camps.
I hear they don't even check the ID's half the time in the café.
Of course this practice is generally discouraged and can possibly create repercussions.
So if you have a mind to do this I would suggest you give this other thot.
