Moving to Green Bay from WA. My husband is getting a medical discharge from the army and we are looking for a rental home. We do not have a move date (army motto:Hurry up and WAIT!) but are thinking it could be either October OR January. Anyone knows of web sites or property management for rentals. We'd like to avoid apts but know that may be our only choice. We're wanting to wait a year before we buy but have no problems w/ rent to own. Thank you so much for any help.

If you have children De Pere (Green Bay suburb) is very nice and has good schools. Both of my sons went to the public schools K-12. I suggest getting the Sunday paper and look at the market. This is a very easy place to live. We moved here 23 years ago. No traffic issues. Nice homes

LOL, that's one thing I'm looking forward to! No traffic. It'll be nice to go to the doctors and not have to leave 45 minutes early because of traffic!!! Thanks for you help, my husband is looking at De Pere, he grew up in WI and I've only been there twice, so any help is great, thanks again!

Default Green bay Home

We are just about to put our Green Bay home up for rental and I have no idea where to list it. Did you receive any information from anyone as to where to look? We have a beautiful 4 bedroom 3 1/2 bath home . It has a 3 car garage, storage, home theater room, office, upstairs laundry. It's in a 't great neighborhood with wonderful neighbors. I just can't figure out where to list it. I will try running an ad in the paper, but beyond that I am at a loss. Any ideas?

Thanks, Erin

I have to second that comment about De Pere..it's a great place to live. I'm a De Pere native, born and raised there. I've lived there my whole life up until this past month, and the only reason why I moved is because my husband got a job opportunity in Orlando. What I love about De Pere is that it's got that small town atmosphere...everyone is very friendly and pretty much everyone knows everyone. It has a great school system, and it's very safe. One day when my husband and I start having kids I hope to be in a position where we can move back, so my kids can have as great of a childhood as I had!!

I would also suggest DePere over GB.

oralemoine6, try listing your house on CraigsList. It's a very good way to get results for just about anything.

Another vote for De Pere..I've lived here for the past 12 years with my 5 kids. Good schools, too. Another option is Ashwaubenon, which will get you closer to shopping. Ashwaubenon has nice schools as well.

Here's a shout-out for the Howard-Suamico area. We've lived here for 14 years - but had to move to GB for two. Worst two years of school for my son (4th and 5th grade). Both Howard and DePere are great school districts!

For the person looking to list or for the family relocating... When you list a property in the Green Bay Press Gazette, you get a free listing on Apartments.com. We listed our duplex and I think we got upwards of 50 inquiries!! You can put/view pictures and everything.

Good luck to both!
