I'm glad to hear Bosackis is re-opening. I was in Minocqua back in July for nin days and was surprised to see it closed. I always love going to the free water show. You are only a few hours away from the Porcupine Mountains which is breathtaking for the midwest.

The Minocqua area is a super place to visit. Nearly all the little towns in the area like Boulder Jct., Eagle River, St. Germain, Three Lakes, Manitowish Waters have unique shops to visit. Even the local hardware stores are unique compared to big city stores.

If you would like a little old fashion Christmas, stop in Boulder Jct. the Friday after Thanksgiving at 5pm for the towns Christmas Walk. It is a very pleasant step back in time. Be prepared to kick back and relax. You may think you in a Hallmark Christmas movie!

There are tons of nice Bar/Grilles in the area, we just found The Black Bear Bar(west of Minocqua on Hwy 70), not the same as Black Bear Lodge in St. Germain. It was a nice place to socialize and they recently completed a new heated Tiki Bar. The Plantation Supper Club is a little expensive but excellent food and it has got to be about the cleanest place ever, I could not even see any dust on the lights.

If you like anything to do with the outdoors, it is there for all the seasons.
