I'm going to be in Greenbay for 3 days on Aug. 22,23,24th. Going to a Packer game, but was wondering what other family activites we can do for the other two days. I've been looking online but it doesn't seem like there is many family things to do except Packer Hall of Fame. Any suggestions for activities and restaurants?

Welcome to Green Bay...home of not much.

Sorry about that.

Seriously.

There is the RailRoad Museum. The NEW ZOO. We have a couple of decent mini golf courses. Packer HOF. Oneida Street shopping district (2 minutes by car from Lambeau) has a nice movie theater and a ok mall. A few ok stores (Target, best Buy,B&N,etc).

There really isn't much else. Fox River Trail is ok if you wanna get out for some excercise and fresh air.

Resturants. These are my favs....

Red Robin/Oneida St. -gourmet burger joint...excellent food but not cheap

Krolls/across from Lambeau - burgers/fish and again not cheap but a hometown fav

Curlys Pub at Lambeau -fantastic cheese curds and a great atmosphere

Tuscans -on the east side...great food, relaxed atmosphere good prices

Old Chicago/Oneida St -great pizza, good prices

Cranky Pats/east side -best hometown pizza IMO

Happy Joes/E. Mason -get the Taco Supreme..this place is made for little kids w/ some games and a childrens birthday party atmosphere

Big Tomatoes/Main St/downtown -a casual but nice place..dress 'nice' but not stuffy....best food in town, great service...great place to relax and have some wine with a menu specializing in mediterranean food. A great place for a couple but is also very kid friendly. Only open for supper (5pm-9pm).

Most cities have a downtown as a starting point for activities but GB does not. Our DT is banks and a library. This hurts because after the Packers GB is a hunting/fishing/boating/bowling/drinking kind of place. We don't have museums and big zoo's and such that families can do. It's kinda sad but you'll have a great time at the game and you will eat very well while you are here.

If you are staying in a hotel the best thing you might do all weekend besides the game/food is use the pool. Sad but true.

Any other questions just let me know.

If you have small children Bay Beach is nice for them-25 cent rides. If you have teenagers the mall has stores that they will enjoy. If its all adults-go to Door County

I would recommend Bay Beach as well especially if you have children. The Wildlife Sanctuary was always nice (I havent been there in years, now living out of state but cant wait to get back). Curly's Pub located in Lambeau Field is one of my favorite places to eat. Expect to wait though, we've always had slow service but the food was always great. Also, if you dont have children with you, I'd recommend Oneida Casino.
