Hi,

My husband has been offered 12 months relocation in Racine, WI and before I discuss the move seriously I would like some advice on area. There is only the two of us and we would be looking to rent somewhere for the duration. I don't know anything about the area or surroundings and as I will occasionally be left alone for a week at a time it would be nice to know more about the areas. Thanks in advance.

Dawn

Default Nice areas in racine

There are bad parts of town all over, but in general you want to be as far north or as far west as possible. There are nice apartments in Sturtevant, which is just outside of the city of Racine, a few minutes down the street.

Ya what Derek said....Consider Wind Point or North Bay....Union Grove is only about a half hour, or 15 miles or so from Racine...a pretty quiet place....and the best part...wait for it...THEY HAVE A DRAG STRIP just outside of town !!

You'll love Caledonia as well....west of Racine. Lots of nature, very safe, great for cyclists, outdoor enthusiasts, yet only 10-15 minutes from downtown and the beach. More new homes than in North end.
