He didn't turn them against each other. He just tried to put his state back on a good fiscal path, and the public sector employees that have been feeding at the trough all this time, with NO accountability, flipped out. It's called and extinction burst - look it up.

There is no money. What part of that is SO hard for liberals to understand?

Do you know how many complaints they receive every year from people fired without reason? And how often they side with business?

They are, without a doubt, beholding to the Utah State Legislature - which does NOT aggressively pursue civil nor employment rights issues.

It's the epitome of "small" government. Small minded government.

You are an idiot.
Nice personal attack. Expect nothing less than that from a liberal....

If you don't like the state, why don't you leave? You CHOSE to work for the state in Utah, didn't you?

Name calling is what liberals do when they are losing an argument.

Name calling and destruction of property seems to be a standard for the liberals, just look at the OWS thugs.

You do pretty well with the name-calling yourself.

It's OK; I really don't expect any better from Tea Partiers, who voted for Bush twice, after all that damage, and then thought that Sarah Palin was qualified for the Presidency.

So much for "good judgement"..

But some of those OWS people really are thugs.

Then after 34 years of service? Lovely Carly fiorina FIRED all the engineers in Research and Development .... and HP has gone downhill from there.

There's your lovely Republican right to work policies....
My daughter almost attended UW-Madison. I think highly of the school. But you need to take off those tainted glasses. HP recruits all over the country, like most tech companies. UW-Madison ranked 16th in a recent recruiter ranking - posted by the Wall Street Journal.

Best Colleges & Universities - Ranked by Job Recruiters - WSJ.com

As for your BIL, we all know Carly didn't fire all the engineers at HP. They still have tens of thousands. People should not be rewarded for years of service. They should be rewarded for quality of service. They often don't go together which is directly opposite what so many unions think.

Is it true, as this Washington Post article says, that 50 percent of the AFSCME union abandoned ship once the government forced collection of union dues was eliminated?

Charles Krauthammer: What Wisconsin means - The Washington Post

It at least suggests that a lot of the members wanted out but found it difficult to do so.

Or it means that a significant percentage are ok with being 'free riders'.

It is all OK. Just look at the seats the Tea Party have picked up/reelections won a in the last 2 months. The Tea Party is strong and still around. I will say Bill Clinton is a very smart man and when he says Mitt is better suited for the president job. I can't say Bill is wrong.
I prefer a Conservative over a liberal or rightwing.
If the USA can't work on common grounds we are headed for the same mess going on in Greece .
