Why haven't you just driven to the office in person? Seems like part of the reason they are too busy for phone calls, is people are there in person. I would be there bright and early Monday am. I might even mention having tried to call repeatedly....but, on second thought, maybe you want to smooze the person so they will try harder to hep you. Good luck on this.

It is my understanding that in my state there are not any "offices" only their website and telephone services, otherwise I would have been standing at their door waiting for them to open. We did get our question answered by using their former email address (we were told that they do not answer questions via email any more) to contact them and someone called us back.

Good luck trying to FIND the office to show up at. It's a well hidden secret where their well hidden office IS. i think they're afraid of somebody going postal on 'em.

I know unemployment works out of the 201 East Washington building in Madison.

JoshB or anyone else,

Do you know if the office in Madison accepts "walk-ins" for UI questions? I was under the impression that all of the offices were strictly for employees and that they would not talk to people who just showed up in the building.

I would hate to drive a couple of hours and be turned away by security.

To be honest I'm not entirely sure. I think it's probably only for UI hearings. What's your question. I have a network of friends who are collecting right now since our office closed. If I haven't dealt with it I'm sure someone I know has. Feel free to send me a direct message or reply on here, I'm on here practically every day.

My question was finally answered, in a manner that was positive.

the state is looking into providing free internet and free cellphone to all unemployed and impoverished residence. No more lifting a finger, or getting off your fat butt to go find work, collect a paycheck or get food stamps. What a state!
