Does anyone have any recommendations of nice apartments for rent in La Crosse/Onalaska/La Crescent? I'd also be curious to hear any I should definitely avoid as well. Thanks in advance!

The towns around LaCrosse generally have nicer rentals and more rental options. For LaCrosse its self you will probably want to avoid the area west of West Ave (Hwy 35). to the Mississippi River and the area around UW-LaCrosse unless you don't mind a little noise from the College students partying at times.

There are some decent apartments on the North side (north of the marsh) but if you're looking for quality, going downtown has a lot of lofts and redesigned old buildings. When I was a student there, we tried to get one but they only want to rent to non-students for security/damage/quality reasons. Good luck!
