Hello Critters,

For starters, spend some time paging through these threads, there is a lot of good information here. Beyond that, it will be helpful if you gave more demographic information about your situation. What do you do? What kind of town? What kind of work? What kind of recreation?
You know, those kinds of things. We can give better answers if we know more.

In the meantime, Go Packers, Go Browns, Go Badgers, and Go OSU.

Seasonings!

Well, for beginning I am on Soc Sec. and SSDI my spouse is suffering from a sever hip arthritic problem received from working in the oil fields as a rough neck. I am experienced in the Mental Health Field. Was a former executive director of a consumer non profit, mental health agency. Before that I was a case manager. I attended University of Akron, Consumer Sciences, Fine Art major. I drove a school bus and have had many other diverse jobs. My husband, also is certified landscaper/designer/park maintenance. But he is now retrained and is a certified Computer Tech. This is a brief description of work backgrounds. This is for starters.

Default Critter Jude says enjoy the threads

The threads are most interesting. Some helpful. Everyone who is around us loves our company. We are humorous, talented, not into the sports of football and not gamblers. I am very much into a lot of art, like photography, pottery, new age stuff, which was really my era of early 60's hippie era. They think they have discovered something new today. My husband was a musician for many years and in bands. We love music, camping, outdoors activities. If anyone has questions just ask I will reply.

I don't think you will find anything for $10,000, even at $50,000it will be hard to find something decent. You will definitly have to look in a small town and there are many quiet wonderful towns in Wisconsin.

Something to think about is how much snow do you want to deal with. There is a big difference in yearly average snow amounts from southern Wisconsin to the northern part of the state. That would probably be my first consideration.

Once you decide on that, then figure what is the farthest from a major town or hospital that you want to live. That should narrow your choices down quiet a bit.
