My family and I are relocating to the Wausau area sometime between April and June of 2008...I am originally from Wi, but have been in Southern CA for 16 years now and my husband and kids are SoCal natives, so it's going to be quite an adjustment for us! We aren't positive we are going to stay forever either, but we are going to give it a chance---for that reason we want to rent a house initially--anybody know where I can find some good home rental listings? I can find lots of websites w/ homes for sale, but not rentals. We are looking to keep the rent under $1400 a month and can be in Wausau, or within 30 minutes or so...

Thanks in advance for anything you can help me with!

Hi my boyfriend and I will be relocating in May/June of 2008 and I have found quite a few places in the Wausau Daily Herald online http://www.wausaudailyherald.com/app....dll/frontpage

Just use this URL and click classified at the top and you can choose Rentals and such after that. There seem to be quite a few duplexes and houses for much less than $1400 a month.

Good Luck to you and your family! Its a beautiful place!!

There are a lot of newer duplexes that can be rented by Rib Mountain. Nice area and the schools are good too.

ekg - you're supposed to recommend that new people move to Kronenwetter. That way our taxes will remain low. (more people - lower taxes - I think that's the way its supposed to work)
