They are not. Not even close.
I once attended a wedding just outside of Watertown, WI where half of the guests turned out to be from Watertown, SD. I spent about half of the reception terribly confused as to why none of the folks who told me they were from "Watertown" knew any of same restaurants or landmarks that I did, until one thought to tell me he was from "Watertown, SD", not just "Watertown". It has nothing to do with your quiz, but it was a funny night. |

I wonder which name has the most occurrences within the U.S. I'd bet that watertown would be way up there.
