Stupid me, but I spend most summer times longing for winter. When snow is on the ground, you can go skiing, you can easily run 20 miles a day just for fun. This winter is over, but I'm so looking forward for the next one.

The only time I long for winter is when I'm overseas. Than I get back (like I did this year) in February, excited abou the prospect of snow and cold weather.

A week later, I'm dreaming of Hawai'i.

Don't get me wrong, I do like snow and cold weather, to a point. It's not the amount of snow or how cold it is that gets me, it's simply how long it lasts in Wisconsin.

recently we went up to family's land about an hour north of here, a nice 55 degree day but could still go sledding on a side hill that was holding some snow yet.... That's about as extreme as this old dude wants to be in for outdoor winter activities.

I'm sad there was so little skiing this ski season, but I'm happy to see spring now that it is here. As I get older, I'm less willing to go out for a run in the cold, but there is still nothing like going out for a walk on a cold, quiet winter night. It's hard to get myself out the door when it's cozy inside, but once I'm out there it's heaven.

That's right I moved from east to west coast and then moved back to midwest, because I think it's the best.

Nice! Well, I will hope for a long, snowy winter next year for all of us skiers.

Default Summer is meant to be hot

I love the 99 degree days with 100% humidity! Great days to be swimming and relaxing!
