Stop whitewashing all Seniors that they are downtrodden. The vast majority have successfully managed through life and do just fine. For crying out loud, recent data shows 65% of nation's wealth is held by folks over 55.

For those that were not successful, I agree that government can offer support. No one should be cold, sick or hungry.

The point is people need to STOP looking at government as a viable solution to medical and retirement life. Plan for and take care of yourselves.

I have many friends and relatives who have just been plain stupid throughout their life. Why Should next generation be in debt to take care of people who should have taken care of themselves? It s a bad plan and weakens society.

Privatization of most government functions would be a GREAT thing.
What is your evidence?

You made a false assertion. I impeached you by citing to the text of Ryan's plan. You did not offer any support for your contentions. Your contentions were made for the purpose of misleading the reader.

How about the World Health Organization rankings of HealthCare systems around the globe that consistently rank Europe and other socialized systems better than the US.

US Health System Ranks Last Among Eleven Countries on Measures of Access, Equity, Quality, Efficiency, and Healthy Lives - The Commonwealth Fund

The same countries also have longer life expectancy than the US.

Now let's see your facts to the contrary.

I don't really think anyone (with a clue) debates that we spend more for worse results in our health care system anymore. The evidence is overwhelming. We have some great health care, we have an abysmal health care system though.

Hypocrite.

You try to illustrate the human and humane ideals you think are integral to the United States as a society, playing at people's heart strings, while at the same time dehumanizing (not to mention demonizing) Adr3naline with the 'it' reference above.

For all of us seniors on a fixed income, we voted so we would not be stepped on anymore like the last 2 administrations, which cut our Medicare to fund Obamacare and cut Social Security to pump up military spending.

Were tired of sinking deeper into misery. What did we ever do to Mr. Ryan?

Well it is a shame that WI voted for TRUMP........

You were warned what would happen if he got in.

It is super simple , if you are concerned you need to call, not write and tell them directly that you will not only voted against them at every chance but that you will actively support any opposition.

As Bernie Sanders says: If you vote for the billionaire class, you get the preferred policies of the billionaire class.

People should fight to EXPAND social security and Medicare. It is desperately needed. First up would be to organize to eliminate the cap on income subject to social security tax, so everyone pays the same rate, just like there is no cap on income subject to Medicare tax. If the people demand it, it can happen.

Ryan thinks he has the answer but he doesn't have to worry about insurance. He has a Cadillac plan and that's the problem. Politicians need to be on the same plans we are on. Heck, it's bad enough we have to pay for retirement for these jokers for just a few years on the job. (Like they work so hard)
