I took off the rose colored, naive glasses you continue to wear every day a long time ago.

Laws beget regulations which beget bureaucrats which beget insanity that solves almost nothing. You know that too as you allegedly claim you lived the system.

I know every regulation my agency proposed was in response to a very real negative that was going on, which we had tried to address through non-regulatory means, and failed. And yes, a minority of people/corporations were often responsible for that (often, not always), but that is the real world. Sometimes, a few bad corporations or individuals result in the real need for regulations. Part of the problem is that there are people and corporations out there that every time something comes up, they look for work arounds and loopholes because of their almighty dollar and unwillingness to change their business model/practices. These groups with these mindsets are the scourge of society and make bureaucracy necessary and valuable.

Is suspect you're part of that group, and that's why you have such disdain for our public servants.

What about small-town South/Midwest "group think"? They act as though they were petrified at the thought of visiting even a moderately-sided metro..

Walker is a sore loser. He's afraid of his power getting consolidated and can't handle the fact that 2018 is the first time a liberal has won a seat on the high court in 23 years: The Latest: Walker warns of "blue wave" after Dallet win - ABC News

ROFL!

Watching Scott Walker melt down is one of my favorite things.

Thanks for these articles. I read them. The conclusions are actually very soft as authors admit there is a lot of noise in the studies. Since these laws are relatively "new," authors acknowledge that longer term duration studies over several voting periods are really needed to statistically prove the theory.

My opinion is that authors wanted to claim ID Laws affect turnout but that data does not support such a firm opinion. One left is l with: "Maybe they do, but it's not proven"

Please elaborate as to why.
Preferably with facts.

I get the Ryan dislike.
He is part of the swamp and does not help push the Trump agenda near as hard as he should.
One seldom gets both houses of Congress and the Presidency at the same time. Walker has not driven near as much change as he should have.
(I'm guessing you dislike him for other reasons though)

Like it or not, facts are not required for an opinion and elections are just popularity contests.
