Devil’s Lake is such a stunning place, especially if you enjoy hiking and the outdoors.

Will there be huge crowds in Door County in October?

In any case, I would look into Baraboo-- a nice, artsy community.

Thanks. Do you have a place to recommend to stay in Mineral Point? I am not a B&B guy though.

from what i could tell on Trip Advisor, the top rated place in MP was an Inn (for what that's worth) though i'm sure other spots could work for a night

We stayed at the William Phillips House in Mineral Point. It is not a B and B. The hosts were amazing. It was close to downtown so we walked everywhere. We made some meals there but also ate out. The steps to the 2nd floor are steep but I am in my 60s and had no problem with them.

Elkhart Lake. Not a huge tourist area like door county, Lake Geneva, or the dells, but still beautiful and there are things to do there every season.

What do you like to do in Elkhart Lake? This will be in early October.

Thanks.
