My apologies, I mis-spelled your name.

It is beaniemac.

I hope this situation in Kenosha, Chicago, the WORLD has light shown upon it, and some positive changes come from it.

[quote=Empidonax;59023190] People wonder if there may have been a less violent way of settling the matter. In retrospect, there seem to have been other options besides shooting the person 7 times. If a gun needed to be used, perhaps just one shot would have sufficed? Why 7?

Why 7? Maybe that is all the bullets he had in his clip. But I would have to agree with you, just 1 in the head should have done the job and saved the people of Kenosha tens of thousands in hospital costs.

And now I just heard they uncuffed the loser. Go figure....

It statistically, is such a small problem that this is made up hysteria designed to create a fake narrative.
I can guarantee that world could spend billions of tax $ “fixing” whatever they think is broken in policing but in reality, a few people will always be treated unfairly ( up to and including dieing) - so what??

Humans are not perfect animals and no amount of hysteria is going to change that.

My fear was a unwanted outcomes because some political force “fixed” this.

I like law and order more so than not having it. Generally, where Democrats are in power, there is less law and order. Fix that first before you try and solve “racism”

Don’t let WI turn into a Progressive Craphole like Portland OR where I currently live.

It's amazing! This poor man who also has domestic abuse and child endangerment arrests in nearby Illinois that were resolved nolle prosequi, was then arrested for the same things, along with sexual assault in Wisconsin. Don't you know people, perhaps friends, who've been arrested multiple times for domestic abuse and child endangerment, but in actuality, wait for it, "didn't do nuthin'?"

This is actually a run-of-the-mill, violent fella who resisted arrest. Black suspects are exponentially more likely to resist arrest. By the way, that's not because they "fear" police. To the contrary, what is most common is an utter lack of fear of the police, as exhibited by Gentleman Blake. What urban police frequently/usually walk into are black suspects and black observers cursing them, throwing things at police, fighting with police, and generally exhibiting aggression toward police. Aggression is the opposite of fear in this case. Anyone with any familiarity with law enforcement whatsoever understands that fearful suspects are overwhelmingly submissive.

The UCR crime data also does not support the assertion that blacks are targeted by police. Additional studies also confirm that blacks are no more likely to be shot and killed by police than whites. In fact, when you control for the number of interactions each group has with police, blacks are underrepresented among police shooting suspects.

What an oppressed individual and what an oppressed group! It's getting to be where resisting arrest, fighting cops, and reaching for a weapon in their company can get you shot! What oppression! What insanity!

He broke into a woman’s house and raped her with her child sleeping next to her. That’s what the warrant was for. He then showed up at her house, stole her keys and wouldn’t give them back. That’s what he was being apprehended for. He then fought the cops, armed with a knife. Unbelievable that this guy would be made some kind of hero.

He had an active warrant out, charges including carjacking and rape. These are not “Everyman problems” or are some of you suggesting they are in the black community?
I grew up in a very abusive home, all different sorts of abuse. I had a lot of problems growing up and well throughout my twenties, and I have been on the other side of law (jail, probation) due to MY actions. I did not hurt others only myself, though some of my actions very well could have hurt someone else. I had to look hard at myself and change myself. I did not have the benefit of affluence or social power or influential friends, I came from what many of you would call “poor white trash”. I am a different person now, but nobody “taught” me anything. Maybe it’s just my... privilege right?

Lol, what is this, the 3rd attempt here to write about the Jacob Blake incident before the racist comments are noticed & it's shut down?

I talked to my black brother-in-law today which was kinda eye opening since he sees the whole Kenosha thing through different eyes than I could. He said it's infuriating that white people blame black people or protestors for all that's going on, yet 4 people have been shot or killed in Kenosha . . . all by white men with guns. So who is the problem here?

Why don't YOU do some homework. The guy had a half dozen felonies prior dealing with spousal abuse. This call he got nailed for was a Domestic Violence call dude. Those are known nationally as the #1 most volatile calls a police officer will go on, and the most likely they will be injured or killed. Bottom line is when you're pulled over by a cop you are to be courteous and listen to their request. Being an arse will get you in trouble real quick no matter what. If you're hopped up on drugs (like our friend in Minnesota was along with his laundry list of prior arrests) it sure does complicate the results as well. These incidences have been magnified beyond imagination for the purpose of division thanks to the Demo's. I can't wait till the court date happens and they bring forth the video that was supposedly taken on the passenger side of the car where he fought off 2 tazer attempts and headed towards the driver seat which had a knife present. You guys just want to exonerate proven criminals elevating their status to fit the purpose of making the BLM credible. If you knew who was funding the BLM you might think again. But oh yeah, I forgot you're one of the many brainwashed by the Left Media doing a great job of bringing the Socialist Movement forward courtesy of the funding from ole' George Soros.

Why 7?

Why not? Empty your clip and make sure the perp is dead or disabled as soon as possible. Anything else would have been a foolish move by the officer.
