I have been working with a realtor
She set up an appointment to show me what I will call my dream home. I was scheduled to see it Monday at 5pm I got home and the sellers agent cancled my appoint because the home had an excepted offer. I set time aside to view the home and was ready to make an offer 30,000 over asking..I called the listing agent and all he could say how unfortunate. Really?
There were homes I could have bought but I wanted to see my dream home. I wasted time lost the chance to look and buy other homes. The lister lost money for the seller and all he can say is how unfortunate? This can't be right. What should be fun is turning out to be the worst experience of my life.
I know the market is hot but he should have giving me the chance to buy that home. If they weren't taking anymore offers why did he schedule the appointment. So Pissed! In Appleton Wisconsin.

Sounds like a simple case of being beat out on a desirable property. The sellers took what they considered an acceptable offer, maybe the listing realtor priced it too cheap, who knows. I would have the realtor you are working with contact the listing realtor and tell them that you are a very interested buyer, it's always possible the person who put in an offer on it won't qualify or something. If they won't do this, drop them and contact the listing realtor yourself. You may get more replies on this if you request it moved to the "Real Estate" forum.
