The Gateway Pundit? Lol. It's a far-right website known for publishing hoaxes & conspiracy theories.

Here's a more reliable site for ya.

Anyone catch all the republicans looting and burning down their suburbs after Trump lost? yeah neither did I because we are not cry babies. Suck it up butter cups, we'll get 'em in 4 years. And no I don't stand for resist resist like the dems did. If Joe proposes a bill or change that makes sense then good for him and our country.

I am not surprised by all the weird numbers of voting irregularities, liberals have convinced themselves there was no greater threat to the human race than the orange man so by that screwed up logic anything to stop him by all means necessary and they see this as the only moral path. The ends justify the means for liberals.

I think this proves mail in and absentee voting should be limited to people that really need it and not for every person that is too lazy to get to the polls.

Oh well life goes on...

Although it astounds me when I learn of someone willing to vote for a 47 year career politician who never did a useful thing and has more so recently had some of their dealings brought into the light makes me wonder what they have all been drinking (or sticking in their arm) All sensibility has been thrown out the window. He's repeated multiple times how he intends to see tax cuts removed (which as a wage earner below 40k a year) have benefitted. No I'm NOT rich like some like to seem to say. He'll add regulations,, suck back up to China and rejoin the climate accord in Europe and a ton more pi$$ing away our money as usual. Along with bringing back Obamacare for those that don't pay for real health insurance and others will pay for it. No thanks folks I just wish someone would USE their brain cells.

It's entertaining enough to see Trump huffing and puffing about losing the election. Will he have to be dragged out of the White House? Hillary graciously conceded when she lost. Trump still has time to do so, and maybe he'll surprise us and be a gentleman about it.

You just described the GOP in the age of Mitch McConnell and Donald Trump. Remember that foreign muslim SoCiAlIsT named Barack Obama? He endured a lot of hatred, too, but the GOP doesn't care about that.

And "the ends justify the means"? Like Christian conservatives "holding their nose" and voting for a decidedly non/un-Christian blowhard to do their bidding? Puleeze.

And voter fraud? That's a hefty accusation. What's really going on is denial: Many people who voted for Trump in 2016 decided not to vote for him in 2020. It was on Trump to win them over, and he didn't.

In the spirit of federalism, states decide the particulars of their voting laws within certain parameters, so maybe the GOP-led legislature or the next GOP governor should do something about it if it's such a concern.

And "too lazy to go to the polls"? There's good, old-fashioned GOP empathy during a pandemic for ya.

Absolutely!

Poynter Institute?-- a self-serving organization, owned by a large newspaper to promote "good journalism." If they practiced it, they wouldn't have to promote it.

That piece is basically an "Oh, Yea?" argument. (Maybe that's good enough, given the contentions, unverified at this point, of the other side.)

There is certainly fraud committed in every election. The only question is "how much?" History has shown it's rarely enough to swing the results....This one, in some states where ballots were mailed out ad lib, may prove different.

WI, at least required specific requests for ballots. The problem for mail-in voting here is a question of verifying chain of custody. The system needs some polishing & tweaking.

For those of us more talented at deductive reasoning, the Dems' approach to this whole thing leaves the bad taste of sinister intentions in our mouths.

And as long as I'm at it-- doesn't harping on the dangers of voting in person/CoV and reporting poll results so wildly wrong amount to voter intimidation & suppression by the Dems & media?

No, that has more to do with Trumpist paranoia, irrational bias, and the Dunning-Kruger effect.

Only for those stretching for an excuse to assign blame where it doesn't belong.

Good point. They've set the bar pretty low for what constitutes "voter suppression" with their outrage over requiring photo I.D.'s.
I don't know about anyone else, but I can't barely walk down the street without a photo I.D. in my pocket of some sort.
Going through the process of obtaining a mail-in ballot and mailing it off, is at the very least just as difficult as having your picture taken.
I'm not saying there's blatant fraud going on, who knows really, but certain people's stance on these issues begs the question of what kind of racket might they be running: same day registrations, just show up, no photo I.D.'s required, or just mail your ballot in it's all good and legit, don't worry....

I wholeheartedly agree that absentee voting should be more limited and also require some very good reasoning for needing it.
A lot can happen in short amounts of time, and then there's the concerns about all those ballots being transported and sitting around until election day.
Pardon the paranoia, but I grew up in Clinton-era, one-party-rule, Democrat Arkansas, where things.... happened.

From what I recall, the concern about photo ID had to do with disenfranchisement of lower-income elderly folks and people of color who, amazingly to people like you and me, do not live in a world marked by official photo IDs.

They generally don't drive, but their bus pass photos and other forms of ID don't qualify as acceptable government-issued (DOT) or institution-issued IDs.

It isn't a huge group of people within the voting-age population, and many have only a spotty history of voting anyhow, but yeah, requiring a government-issued ID can present a barrier to them for voting.
