The sounds of the bull frogs at night on our farm in Columbus just makes everything perfect.

Fall is pretty nice, I just wish it was a little longer. Once I see pumpkins I think of X-Mas getting close. It has been a beautiful Fall day here in Portage. Sunny skies about 58 degrees. Little to no wind. This is my kinda weather. Maybe a tad warmber but as long as the sun is out and there is no wind, Im good.

Fall is awesome, I'm enjoying the cool nights and nice days, haven't used the furnace yet, I'm definitely a hold out. I'm hoping we have this nice weather all the way through October, middle of November, being very optimistic, of course.

Default Spring

I enjoy spring. Fresh start, great smells, and the snow is gone.

Late spring is definately my favorite time. Everything is starting to grow and birds are migrating back.

The four seasons are a big attraction to living here. I work outdoors so spring, summer and fall are the easiest to deal with. Winter is another story. Sometimes you just have to remember that the good days vastly outnumber the bad days.

Seasonal change produces both new activity and adaptation of year round enjoyment. On one hand, you won't golf in January. You will do something different for enjoyment. On the other hand, fishing goes on despite the weather. I love to fish. It doesn't matter whether those fish come through a hole in the ice or out of open water. There are rivers that never have a closed season. Most of the lakes have a couple of months that are closed for the season.

If I had to pick a favorite I would go with summer. This place can get hot and humid but it never lasts long. The long daylight hours give you plenty of opportunity to get outside and do what ever it is you enjoy. My allergies are a thousand times easier on me here, than living in California. There is a short spring and fall episode. If your allergies include molds, don't move here. Fortunately, mold doesn't bother me. Pollen does. The pollen season is very short.

I have to admit I'm looking forward to the storm they are predicting for today into tomorrow, although not the winds that may come with it!
