Hello everyone!

I will know in a few weeks if I'm officially moving to Madison...

I visited Madison back in 2020 for work so I didn't do much exploring and I wanted to know where all the cool kids live in the Madison metro??

I plan on renting for the first year and I prefer to live in a somewhat quiet, safe, conservative, forested area. I also prefer to be around people that are 30+.

Any suggestions? I'm open to the entire Madison Metro.

your description of where you want to live is not where the cool kids live. The cool kids live on the near east side near Atwood and willy st. This area has the hipster/tattooed crowd. Almost everywhere in Madison is safe compared to cities of its size, but the near west side has lots of trees, nice homes and is safe. If you are talking politically conservative; you are not going to find that within 20 miles of Madison. Even the Madison suburbs in Dane County are pretty blue.
