Casey's General Storeys. Iowa chain, all are in small towns, but three are as far east as Dodge County. Beaver Dam, Waupun, Mayville.

Don't dismiss gas station pizza, there a couple of other good franchises, but Casey's are a legend in their home-towty range.

Casey's pizza is serviceable in a pinch which is probably more than could be said for most gas station hot foods... but it's still gas station pizza. It could only be considered "good" pizza either in that context, or by those who just don't know better.

Good morning all,

Strange but true, but one pizza that I really enjoy is the Pizza Flatbreads form Barnes and Noble!!!

Get down to Chicago this weekend! It's their Italian Fest on Taylor Street (Little Italy neighborhood).

MANGIA!

Casey's....
No, I'm not going to say it's the best pizza.
I just thought it funny that someone mentioned it.
I know that in small Missouri towns, it's often the best you'll get. Perhaps it's the same situation in Wisconsin.
We live in a big enough place now that there are other options, but I'm not kidding when I say we occasionally drive to a nearby little town with a Casey's just to get slices of pizza. Kind of a nostalgic thing I guess.

Call it a guilty pleasure. Like I mentioned before, my "guilty pleasure" pizza is Rocky Rococo's even while knowing it's not great pizza.

Pizza: even when it’s bad, it’s still pretty good.

Unless it’s stale or something.

Hello. Hope all are doing well.

And hope all are finding their pizzas!

I may be reiterating, but a place to go where you get some good pizza AND entertainment:

Organ Piper Pizza near Highway 100 and Cold Spring. I think that is technically Greenfield, WI.

Oh ya, I totally agree. I always say bad pizza is good pizza. Let me get some Kenosha Domino’s plz

Rosati’s makes a good bad slice. I have yet to try their deep dish

I recently went on an exploration in South Milwaukee and noticed a serious lack of pizza places when I had the craving. Especially with so many Chicago area transplants, I’d think there would’ve been more options along a 5 or 6 mile hike. Someone should get in there and invent the Milwaukee-style pizza. Put it on pretzel bread or something. Melt some cheese curds

I gather those of you who say there's no such thing as bad pizza have never tried Cici's. That stuff is genuinely inedible.

Rosati's is pretty hit-or-miss, but when they're on, they're solid. That said, a family dispute caused the company to split into two competing companies with the same name, so there are technically two different Rosati's. In my experience the one with the "new" logo is more consistent than the one with the older-style logo.

Well that’s good to know because the suburban location near me has a slice that tastes different than what I remember back over at the Maxwell and Halsted location.

And no, I have not tried Cici’s, so I will have to find one of those and check it out
