We usually drive up every Thursday... and i try to leave home with at least a halfa-tank to avoid buying gas in IL.
Last Thurs [the 5th] I got gas on the south side of Madison [can't recall the mile marker] for $3.89
all other stations -- even Beliot, where we usually stop, was over $3.90 into the low $4 range.
Up in teh Dells area, it's usually higher than on the drive up ... there occasionally there is 1 station that is cheaper than the rest... sometimes the one at Ho Chunk ... but i've noticed they are either the lowest, or higher than everyone else.
it's such a crap shoot .... but Wisc is cheaper than IL.
Just like Tcs1366, I travel up into WI once a week also. Last Wednesday, I paid $4.03 in Kenosha. It usually is a little cheaper than in N. Chicago suburbs. Often at those stations on Highway 50 near I-94, more than half the vehicles getting fuel sport Illinois license plates. Going up there tomorrow.
