Once again, this would not happen in Illinois without major funds being involved!
That's great, Susan! When we used to live in a rural subdivision we'd wake up to our neighbor shoveling our driveway for us, He was so nice. As Geekduo said that's the benefits of small town neighbors/friends.

At least you can enjoy this snow from your front window and not have to go out into it!

I've only been here a year, don't know that many people, but the ones I've met sure are great!

The snow definitely is prettier when you don't have to get up and fight your way to work. I don't miss driving on Hwy. 41 or the Illinois Tollway one bit, a zoo in the wintertime! I remember those 3 hr. drives to go all of maybe 20 miles.

This is awesome, I got a call at 6 a.m. saying we're not working today because of the weather. Woo-hoo! Snow day for me.

At least you can burn off some calories if you snuck in any x-mas cookies early.lol Then you wont feel so guilty for eating them, right?

This is a little off the subject, but I thought the "chat" thread was probably the best place to pose this question.

Since I moved to Wisconsin, I haven't seen any hummingbirds. I don't expect to see them in the winter, but are there hummingbirds anywhere in Wisconsin during the spring and summer? They're my favorite bird, and I want to put a hummingbird feeder on my porch, but I'm not even sure there are any here.

Has anybody seen them?

Ha, Ha, you two! I'd shovel for awhile, come in for some coffee and a cookie, shovel some more, make a cup of instant cappuccino and so it goes!
