Wow, I've been sooo busy... Today we had a brush fire at our farm in Columbus and it got out of control. I didn't have the camera =(... Four fire departments showed up, Reeseville, Lowell, Columbus, Wisconsin Dept. of Natural Resources. The Canadian Pacific Railway shut the tracks down for two hours because of the fire. Not good! What a day...

Sounds like you had quite a bit of excitement! Hope every thing turned out OK.

We went down to Petenwell Lake to do some fishing today. The fish weren't biting so we pulled the boat out and drove to Nekoosa. We had better luck there, a couple of walleyes and a few white bass. It was all catch and release so no fish cleaning tonight.

But we almost didn't make it there, we were on I-39 when we blew a tire on the boat trailer, scared the crap out of me. That thing blew and the trailer started going all over the place. I took this picture after going down a dusty road for a couple of miles.

Wow, Hntr that would pretty crazy. Luckily it wasn't a front tire on your vehicle.

I can't believe how dry it is out there. Sheesh, we haven't seen any of this rain they were calling for. We need it BAD.

Sorry about the fire Josh, hope all is under control now. Hntr that's a scarey ride, trying to control a trailer, glad you are o.k.!

Happened to my friend on the way back from MN to Ill., now he doesn't venture too far away! He had a string of bad luck, a flat on the trailer then someone hit the trailer in Milwaukee during construction, damaged motor and boat. He had to haul it up to MN to get it fixed. Oddly enough no damage to that monster SUV he drives! I tell him to come here to take me fishing and he says he is not hauling that **** through Milwaukee ever again!!!

We got a little rain today, enough to make the lawn look less dusty!

Is there a way for your friend to avoid Milwaukee?
