Here it is a battle between the crows and seagulls, talk about loud, good grief! Manitowoc is trying to battle the gulls, TR says we don't really have a problem. Do these people never drive by the beach???

Gorgeous weather, isn't it? Couldn't be happier (not being a 90's fan), low 70's for days on end!

I've been moving plants and going to bite the bullet have a landscaper do the rest! I have no less than 60 perennial plants on 3 sides of the house plus bushes! I had some friends yank (literally) out some spyria, which will be replaced with small evergreens so I can get to my bay window easily.

A huge overgrown burning bush (tree like) inches from my gas fireplace exhaust will be removed. The boys aren't doing the truck/chain routine, I do need landscaping help! There's a raised bed (more bushes, plants) with rotting lumber, white mold, disgusting, everything stays too wet.

When I bought it, I liked the cutesy curved flower beds! When its done, no curves, no lumber by downspouts, a few evergreens, hydrangea bushes, much simpler. Perennials will go in an area along the fence in my backyard. I have a grade problem, which will be fixed and no plants by the foundation.

I'm done rambling, time to go out and do some digging (the easy stuff)!!!

Good luck!!! And I don't mind the rambling!

I'm due for a landscaping overhaul too. A couple of junipers with bad frost-bite, same problem with a huge burning bush. I have to climb an eight foot ladder to trim it.

Hope everybody is enjoying their long weekend! Just got back from Stillwater, MN and I wonder why I never visited that place before - it is amazingly beautiful and the homes are out of this world. We took the trolley ride which was excellent and the people so friendly. Drove back via Red Wing, Lake City, etc. and that is nice as well. If anyone is looking for a getaway I would suggest it! Have a great Sunday.

Sounds like you had a great time Sue.

Well tomorrow is already Monday, which means work is only another day away. This three day weekend went by way to fast if you ask me.

Note for tomorrow:
Happy Labor Day everyone!
