Well I didn't say it's spectacular, lol, but there are more shops in addition to the ones you've mentioned, and overall much more than Oshkosh.

Nope, not a realtor. Currently unemployed.

Oshkosh is Oshkosh. That's about how to explain it. If you are a younger couple with a small child, then you won't have a problem. It is a family-friendly town. There are certainly things to do with and for young children. Oshkosh has somewhat steadily grown in the last 10-20 years. Not very much, maybe 500 to 1,000 people a year. But as it gets bigger (it's around 62,000) it does nothing to adjust or change. A city cannot continue to grow and deny that it is growing. Oshkosh does just that.

I'm not saying it's a bad thing. It's the biggest one-horse town you'll see. It acts like the town of 10,000 it still thinks it is. Poor, poor public transit. Not much for shopping. Road layout is a mess. But, IF you don't mind a very conservative city that doesn't EVER want to change, then Oshkosh is a great place.

I personally dislike it, not because it's a bad city, but because I need a little more fast-paced stuff going on than what's playing at the Oshkosh Cinema.
