Hello all I am seeking a bit of advice from people who may have gone to UW La Crosse or UW Eau Claire, or people who have simply lived in either city. I attended UW Milwaukee for a semester while living in Pewaukee and am now interested in starting school again. I am an Education (Biology) major.
My big thing is that my fiance is moving with me, wherever I decide to go, so we will be living off-campus. This means that I'll need a full-time job to cover my share of rent/bills/etc. I'm probably going to look into loans at least for rent but i'm not sure about the rest. I don't know what the job market is like in either town and my research seems to be getting me nowhere. I am going to be visiting each town within the next couple weeks but was still hoping to get some advice from people who were in either place for an extended period of time.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Lacrosse: plenty of outdoor activities, natural beauty with the buffs all round you. Smaller than EC but right on the Mississippi river and the town is pretty easy to navigate around. Not really close to any big city.

EC: Close to Twin Cities, also has some natural beauty. It has more of a Waukesha kind of feel to it(my opinion). Outside of EC it's very rural although you do have Chippewa Falls right next door.

I prefer EC b/c it's close to Twin Cities(1hr) so if I ever needed to work or just go to the Mall of America I could.

Hi! Went to UW-L in the 70's and absolutely loved it! It's a nice size and the scenery is beautiful. I go back about once a year and so much has changed; it's fun to re-visit. I tried to get my daughter to go there but she chose WLC in Wauwatosa.
