I'm originally from Southern WI area and moved to Las Vegas a few years ago. I really want to get back to the midwest to be closer to my family and just miss WI in general. I'm seriously considering the Fox Valley area, mainly Appleton. My only real concern is if there is much to do for a single women in her 30's as the area seems more like a college town as far as night life. I know the night life will not even be close to what I have here in Vegas, but I'm not into just sitting on a bar stool drinking all night either. Is there much for lounges or other more upscale places for people in their 30's to hang out and meet people? Thanks guys!

Having gone up to the Fox Valley for work recently and living in Milwaukee I went looking for the same thing so far after 6 months having gone up north I haven't found one place, so I gave up. I would just rec. driving a 1.5hrs and go to downtown Milwaukee or The Third Ward where there has been a boom of upscale lounges and wine bars/ piano bars.

Thanks for your post. I didn't really figure there was much like that up there. I guess that is the trade off for cheaper cost of living and such.

Thanks again!
