We will be moving soon and need to ship our vehicles cross country. Headed to Eau Claire area. Any suggestions on how to do this? I have contacted one large moving company, but it is very expensive. We may just have to bite the bullet and pay this? Please help if you can. thanks

We were quoted $800 for our one vehicle, right on the moving truck with our stuff. I thought that was pretty reasonable, but I dislike driving so anything would have sounded good to me.

I'll do it for expenses only (3 nights lodging, gas, food). Oh, and help convincing my wife.

We were quoted $1075.00 each vehicle. I thought that was a lot but maybe not. They haven't even given us a quote on how much the motorcycles will be. : ( We are flying out the first week of June. I'm getting so nervous and excited all at once. California has been my home for 33 years but I'm ready for a change.

Can you check with the local colleges to see if they have any students heading your way when school gets out? They may be willing to drive the cars back for you if you pay them and cover there expenses? You could probably get both cars back for under $500 that way. I would just request a background check/driving history and contact your insurance agent to make sure your cars are covered in this situation.

$1K from CA to WI is reasonable. i used to work in the car business, and we frequently traded cars to and from just about anywhere. if you dont want to pay all that, drive one here yourself. i drove from WI to CA and back on my honeymoon and loved every minute of it. of course i love to drive more than anything, so, grain of salt

That new stretch of W. College ave should be good for at least 85-90, I'd think!!
