Can somebody tell me of the town of Mukwonago? Beside the real estate value in Wisconsin is one of the highest states in the US. Is Mukwonago safe for running? I like running 4:30 a.m. Also would like to commute in to Milwaukee where the main body of runners meet, Lake Park I believe it is called, how safe is that area, northeast on the lake? Is it a safe drive to there from Mukwonago? Oh, yes forgot, right now I live in Missouri, originally from Quad Cities, three hours south of Chicago, but the big question is what is the average temps in the winters, besides the big blizzard like weather, oh bummer, it doesn't snow in Missouri, average temp is 21. Thanks.

Mukwonago is a great family oriented place to live, work and raise a family! I believe that we have one of the lowest tax rates in the state of wisconsin as well as the very best school system! Im from a ways up north in Wisconsin and have never regretted living in Mukwonago! ITS a GREAT COMMUNITY!!!

I don't know much about Mukwonago, but I go to school at Marquette. I go down to the lake frequently, and I find it to be a very safe place. I think there can be concerns during the evenings with cruising, but I doubt you will be running that late at night. Lake Park itself is an Olmstead designed park (eg Grant Park, Central Park, etc,) and is on the eastside near UWM. I am moving to that area in two weeks, and I think it is a safe area. The west side of the park has some unbelievable old home. Driving to the park is no problem and you won't have to drive through any run down areas, although it would be a little bit of a haul from that far out.
