I was just thinking back on my youth the other day. I happened to have a friend that lived in the neighborhood across from Lake Geneva in Walworth. We used to take a Sunday morning drive in the country west of Walworth called Millie's Pancake House. They had the most amazing breakfasts and pancakes larger than a dinner plate stacked high. I particularly loved the blueberry pancakes which had a lot of blueberry compote poured on top. Is this place still in business or is it just another of my memories? I used to go there in the early 70's as a point of reference.

I've never been there, but it seems to be around still:

We were there just this spring. Its still a nice place, good breakfasts and pancakes, but I dont think it ever lived up to what it was when "Millie" ran the place. Dont know if you knew, but the original Millies Pancake Haus is in the same location on Lake st. in Addison Il, In a easy to miss strip mall. Millie told my folks that people thought she was crazy to open one in Wisc in the "middle of nowhere", but it boomed. I think they are on the third owners. Millie has long since passed on.
I was partial to the Swedish pancakes.
