This was announced two years ago, a nearly 200,000,000 dollar advanced medical isotope facility with 150 jobs.......again I think you and a whole lot of people radically underestimate Beloit...again, home to three billion dollar companies, more than either Madsion or Milwaukee..

Uh, no. Someone who tries to position Beloit as a "major hub" of a self-defined region of some 13 million people is the one whose estimates are fundamentally off.

I get it, you like Beloit and some good things are happening there. But Good Heavens, get a grip and accept Beloit's place in the region. There's no shame in being the small fish in a big lake.

A region can have multiple hubs, nodes whatever you want to call it. Look at a highway map and you'd realize Beloit is already a transportation hub of the region, where interstates from Madison, Chicago, Milwaukee meet.

It is already a business hub with large global billion dollar companies.

And it is becoming a regional tourism hub...how many places in the region boast Indian effigy mounds on a beautiful New England style college campus? And maybe you are unaware but the Beloit International Film Fest is very highly regarded after just 7 years...

But keep on believing it is a dying industrial city, the same bs some people say about Chicago...

The fact that it is so cold, even though it appears so far south on a map of Wisconsin.

Hi all,

My husband interviews at Kerry next week. Anyone here move to Beloit for Kerry or another employer? How do you like it?

Beloit is no place to live! Look south to Roscoe, IL only a few minutes away. Much better area and safer better schools.
