Nothing in the article mentions the grandchild(children). Did they drive the kids there drunk?
Were the kids in danger? I think she got off too easy, certainly not from the bear, but from the authorities.

She got what she deserved. What idiot sticks their hand in a bear cage? Drunk or not, you gotta know what you are doing. I feel bad for the child. Hope they are not the legal guardians.

Whenever there's some newsworthy incident in Wisconsin that involves breathtaking stupidity, it's a safe bet that alcohol was involved as well. As the old joke goes, the most common "last words" spoken in Wisconsin are "hold my beer and watch this..."
