We are looking at a move to the Ft Atkinson area.
We have a few questions, Any ideas, Please!
is there much development (homes) around Lake Koshkonong?
What are the best lakes for boating?
We think we want to live between Ft A. and Milwakee, any ideas?
thanks!

Lake Koshkonong is pea green in the summer and really shallow I would not touch that lake for boating.

I would move Fort Atkinson and forget the rest, considering the 3 choices. I used to live on the rock river and spent a lot of time in Lake Mills and Jefferson. Let me put it this way, the real contest is Fort vs Lake Mills, I would never live in Jefferson. Lake Koshkonong is great for boating and fishing just as long as you don't have a Lake Michigan cabin cruiser. It's 7 feet deep at it's deepest point and averages 5-6 feet deep. Fort schools are great, people are really nice and the town is layed out nice and very well kept.

I admit I went to high school for 4 years out there and consider it my second hometown.
