Just asking if anyone has ever had a relationship or fling with an employer or fellow employee and they said something negative about you to a new potential employee?

Nope because I dont poop where I eat.

I have known others that have had flings and then were talked about in the gossip circles. To me it has never been worth it to have a fling or romantic or lustful relationship with a coworker/boss, etc.

I have an interesting story on this topic. I was working a large store/warehouse/office that specializes in furniture and homegoods. I won't say which one but they dont sell barrels or crates even though their name may suggest it.

Anyhow, I was casually dating two sisters who worked with me. Before you say I'm a jerk, in fairness to me the older sister had a bf and was stringing me along before I started dating the younger one and the younger one knew I was dating the older one.

Anyhow, one day when out with co=workers this somehow came out. the younger sister wasnt there the older was. She threw one of those TGIFridays margrita glasses at me. Not only was it full of margarita but if you havnt had one they weigh about 5 pounds a glass...lol. Also, keep in mind everyone I was with and 99% of the people I worked with were women.

Anyhow, after that work wasn't pleasant to say the least. i was lucky in that I worked back in a warehouse with all guys but had to work with the store employees and since it was 99% women everyone sided with her and hated me.

It blew up in my face although this was years ago when I was young, it wasn't a serious career just a job in college and I look back on it and its a funny story, heck even at the time aside from having to deal with the fallout I think I thought it was kind of funny as well.

That said in my professional career today I would never date or hook up with anyone at work. Just not worse the potential problems.
