I am working on my finance degree, I'm not sure if I should double major/minor in something to help me. I plan on taking japanese and the classes I take would get me a minor, though I know that won't help. I was thinking of double majoring in economics/accounting as well.
Anyone have tips on which degrees can help me?
I was wanting to be a Financial Analyst but I'm not sure if that's smart since I hear it's hard to get in and I don't know what other entry level jobs there are.
Really I just want to make a reasonable amount of money so that I don't have to struggle money wise. So would it be good to get into financial analysis, or what? Or are there other degrees I should be looking into?
I believe a minor in Mathematics would be suitable if you're interested in becoming a Financial Analyst. If I was hiring the candidates a math major or even minor would tell me you're bright and hard working. Econ and Acctg may be a decent minor as well but they are almost too similar to finance. And while the econ/acctg minor shows hard work it is not as challenging as mathematics, at least for most people.
