Is there anyone seriously trying to become fluent in a second language to become more marketable? If yes, what language, and how are you learning it? Many professional positions are preferring, some requiring bilingual candidates.

Yes, there are several I would like to know.

However, it takes forever to become fluent in another language. Think an hour a day for five years in addition to probably living in a country where that language is spoken for a year or so.

Yes, just taking a class or two won't help. Have you ever read the manual for something made in China? Maybe read an E-Bay ad from China? You would sound like that to the people in the other country, and spell wrong.
