I would stay until it got old. It also depends on how many millions I won as well.

I actually enjoy my job and would stay, but I would arrive in style and not save up so much vacation time.

If that's how much I got after taxes, then...

1. Quit immediately and tell them over the phone I'm done.
2. Give some of the money to my family.
3. Keep the rest and enjoy life.
4. Maybe find part time work I enjoy after a while to keep some sort of income.

I would buy a majority stake in the company and fire the guys who I know aren't doing anything all day (but snuff up to the boss).

As much as I would like to say that I would stay and as much as I don't hate my job, I don't think that there are certain tasks that I could do again if I knew I didn't have to

I would tell my boss, who I like, that I will stay as long as she needed me to but only to transfer the tasks and/or wait for them to find a replacement (with a time limit).

If I won a boatload...like 200 mil, I would give my co-workers some so we can all leave together

I wouldn't bother sending a resignation letter or saying "bye" to everyone. They would fire me for job abandonment because as soon as I found out, I would be high tailing it to Austin to pick up my check. My job/career would no longer exist in my mind at that point.

Once I got the money, I would invest it in municipal bonds and live off the tax-free interest for life.

Same here. I like the folks I work with and don't want to screw anybody by just walking out, but I certainly don't like my job enough to stick around if I didn't have to.

Besides, in today's economy I think there's an ethical issue with staying on the job if you don't have to, as there are way too many people out there looking for work. I'm not saying I wouldn't work, even fishing would get boring after awhile. But rather than working for someone else I'd invest a good portion of my winnings in small businesses.

I would tell my direct boss that he has been a true pleasure to work with, an inspiration in many ways, and that I was sad to leave because I truly enjoy working with him and that he is the person who re-ignited my passion for my career.

His boss, however, is the biggest a$$hole I've had the displeasure of working with, EVER.

I would invite him and my direct boss to a meeting and then I would gleefully tell him that I am giving notice effective immediately and then tell him what I actually think of him. I would tell him that he is the sole reason I want to quit this job. All with a smile on my face. (I would stick around long enough to hand off some things to my direct boss though).

Its actually something I fantasize about often because he is just such a b*stard.
