Well, 15 hours a day is a lot. How many days a week would this be? I have done it in the past in retail, And I would think if this is a few days in a row at least 6 hours. That would leave 3 hours for personal stuff. I found it stressful.

Doing this for a long period of time WILL run a person down, With lowered immune system, probable high stress and poor eating habits likely. If said individual is a spouse/parent or both this would be even more difficult.

Humans have needs, physical and otherwise. After a while, Somethings got to give.

As much as possible although if someone works 15 hours a day, soon enough he'll be sleeping a long, long time.

I hope this isn't you doing this. You're going to drive yourself to an early grave working like that.

I don't know what a person "should" do since people handle sleep differently, but I can describe my personal experience. My work schedule will be like that for a few weeks (with some days even more than 15 hours), with weekends involved. Then it calms down for a couple weeks and I work ~10-12 hours instead, before it returns to being busy. I'm a bit of a night owl in general. When I get home I can't really go to sleep right away, even if it is midnight. But on a typical night I go to sleep around 1am and I wake up at 7am to start over again.

Everybody is different. Some people can be rested from 6 hours of sleep where others need 8. No one can tell you the amount of sleep that is healthy, IMO.
