Is this person setting deadlines and expectations and if they are not met he asks about it, or is this person standing over you as you do work and asking why you do things in a certain way? Seriously, if you've been doing the same job for so long, you're probably touchy about anyone "interfering" but that may not really be micromanagment, it may just be them making sure you are accountable and you getting offended that you have to answer any questions since you are so great. Some managers like to reprogram employees who think they own the place.

Have a calendar with all of your deadlines, projects, work flow, whatever you do.
Refer manager to this item and ask ahead of time if there is anything they need to add to this.
Get agreement and document everything you discuss.
