I've heard about a third of my co-workers complain about their jobs at some point

Just ignore them, that's what I do. I do my job the best I can and really don't care what they think.

I have a government job and there was no nepotism and I sure as hell didn't get it on the spot. I went through extensive background checks and more fricken paperwork and hoops than I care to ever go through again.

How come when I go to the DMV, every person behind the counter looks like they would be in the same exact social circle outside of work? There is absolutely no variation whatsoever.

Sounds like yet another lazy, good for nothing "employee."

People like that make me sick. I would LOVE to have a job and she should be grateful for hers.
