Well, I was planning to have a career at a state zoo (MN zoo), but then I found out that the petting farm event was sponsored by Homel which is a company that sell meat products, so if I was going to have a career in taking care of animals and having a goal to become a vegetarian! What are other careers in the animal world in which should I be pursuing? It seem to be me that it is an ironic thing to have an event being sponsored by a in-state meat packing company at a zoo in which a zoo's role is to take care animals and to educate the public about the animals!
The zoo is educating people about the animals, BORGSUX. Petting zoos usually have farm animals in them, and the reason we have farm animals is because of the business that Hormel is in.
I think zoos should teach about how animals and humans interact and how our lives are intertwined. Teach the reality, not some Disneyfied fantasy where all of the animals are bestest friends and there is no such thing as predator and prey.
Hey sean98125, do you work at the Minnesota Zoo? I was wondering does Hormel have factory farming? I guess that I can go work at an animal shelter in which they raise animals for the rest of the animal's life, but then I will have to move out of MN eventually!
I was wondering does anyone have a job market outlook for the next 10 years when it comes to taking care of animals or what not? One thing that I like about taking care of animals is that the work can't be outsource!

What you need to do is google your questions and find the answers. I don't believe anyone here would have this kind of info handy.
