When you guys are interviewing with a few companies at around the same time, but of course you have your preferences of which job(s) you want, HOW do you stall the other companies you really don't want to work for without looking like you're ignoring them? Just curious.
(And if you're wondering why anyone would interview for a job they really don't want, it's because in these competitive & scarce times that we're in, it's of course better to have some kind of job making some kind of money than no job at all. After all, there's still bills to pay.)
Schedule the interviews with the undesirable companies as far out as possible.
Ask for a followup session with the hiring manager because you have some additional questions.
Yes, I'd do that if I had control over when the interviews were, but I don't most of the time. I sure don't want to ever schedule another meeting in person just to ask more questions. That's what email/phones are for & that little stalling plan could backfire because they employer will view it as wasting their time & my not being organized & asking the questions the first time.
Thanks though, I know you're just trying to help!
