I am curious what type of job a fresh graduate will get and the type of job prospect.
As my brother say that studying such a general course would have limited choices because company would prefer someone who is more specialised ..

Retail, eventually getting promoted to assistant management or management. We had M.B.A.'s doing work that used to be meant for 18 year old folks at one of my past jobs.

Or you could get lucky and find something random. Most of my management friends got stuck in retail except the ones that specialized in accounting. The rest are clerks.

Lots of potential jobs. From sales, to marketing, to management and finance. This is a useful degree to have.

I got into Human Resources with that degree (had a concentration in management though). The sky's the limit really with a degree like that. You can pretty much go into any type of field you want.

I disagree that a general degree limits your options. I think the opposite is true: a specialized degree pigeon holes into a small number of careers.

If you had a teaching degree, you're pretty much stuck with that career. With a business degree like yours, you can do healthcare, finance, automotive, retail, government, restaurant, hotel, etc.....

That's what they said about my acting degree. It showed I could learn many new things quickly, worked well under pressure and deadlines, was used to personal responsibility and teamwork, wore multiple hats in a company setting, could work hard with long days, easily adaptable to any setting or position change and well spoken when put on the spot. There's so many more things I was told I had from the benefits of my course of study, but nope. All it looks like to potential employers is 4 years of make believe and dress up.

Retail, sales, customer service, perhaps assistant manager are some jobs for business management majors like yourself and I. It really depends on your skills and what opportunities are near you.

I'm a Business Management grad from the class of 2012 and I am currently in a personal banker role. If you are willing to sweat it out on a teller line for a year or so in a bank and perform solidly, you have a lot of options in Banking. I personally am sick of banking and I'm looking for something else, preferably Human Resources.

That's very interesting you say that, Dissenter. I work in Human Resources for a local community bank.
