Tomorrow morning I have a interview with a water filtration company thru a temp agency. The position is for a CSR position paying $10 a hour and the position is a 3 month temp position, not temp to hire just during their busy season. Tomorrow at the interview I have been advised to bring at least 3 copies of my résumé, a pen (apparently pens are in high demand in fresno this is the 2nd company asking for the applicant to bring a pen), after the interview if I am considered for the position I have to take a typing test, excel and word test. Then of course the standard drug test and background check.
I can understand the drug test and background but why do they require on site excel and word tests?? The temp agency has my scores from the proveit test. I'm just trying to figure out what the point of a business going thru a temp agency is if I have to redo my testing.
Sorry for the long post, I am just frustrated.

They're probably tired of the temp agency fluffing applicants to get the commissions. Temp agencies and "recruiters" are the bane of all existence.

I agree. I wish that they didn't exist. The last time I checked our unemployment is 14.9% here so I'm trying to check with every company and keep options open.
