Look through your local "classifieds" section for help wanted.

Look online for "help wanted" in your local area.

I don't know the exact numbers,
but I'd assume that

80% of job postings do NOT have the pay rate mentioned.

This is a serious waste of potential employees time.

If you wanted to buy your S/O a watch, would you browse by if it told time ? Or by how much it costs?

If you wanted a new job, would you browse by if they were hiring? Or by how much they paid?

I would love it if someone could start applying for jobs and going to the interviews of all these places that don't inform you of the hourly wage or salary ahead of time.

When you meet the interviewer give them a bill for the time you already spent applying for the job and driving to the job. And then tell them the remaining bill will be delivered by USPS within the next 5 days, for the time you were at the interview.

Employers say the reason they don't "List" their pay rates is because of "competition" noticing how much they pay.
Which is absolute BS. Think of their products they sell at their store, or online. They all show the price. Their competitors already know a good estimate range of what they pay their employees.

So that leaves the only reason they don't advertise the pay rate is because they want to either
1. ********* over in pay.

and/ or

2. Find sheeple to work for them that will follow orders, work off the clock, not question management ever, etc. Pretty much a robot.

I don't see that going over well.

Wait a minute, you work for money? Because based on all the interview tips, articles, and hiring manager feedback, I thought money was the least of our concerns. Aren't we supposed to be more concerned with making a difference? Making our employer rich? Or any of that other crap (aside from money) they tried to feed us?

I like your idea but it wouldn't work. I'm retired now, and I was self-employed so I haven't been on a job interview for many years but I can't believe the questions they ask in an interview now. I had a friend that owned a manufacturing business and I heard him ask a person "what will you do to make your job better?", after the person left I ask my friend how the hell would that person know until you hired them and they were on the job for awhile. He said he had read how to interview potential employees in a book. He never asked that question again. On another note, when my wife was pregnant the doctor would make her wait for her appointment and after the second time it happened, I sent the doc a bill for my time to drive my wife there and the waiting time. That was the last time she had to wait. And one time I did a job for a woman and it took me about 50-55 minutes to do it and I charged her for an hour when I gave her the bill she said "I still have 5 minutes coming" and I said "Write the check out slowly".

There have been news stories in the past of people doing this. Maybe one of them was you?

I bet their is some law somewhere that says it's illegal to bill people for something they didn't agree on at least verbally.

Can anyone verify that?

There are so many laws, I'm sure that is one. There is no freedom of speech in business.

Which is ridiculous.

Business and Humans are THE SAME THING.

No business exists without at least one human.

Free speech should exist to businesses to.

Lie all you want. You say your TACOS are made with meat, but in reality only 48% of it is real meat! I don't give a damn!

The corporate structure is totally insane.

We need to reduce lawyers by 800%. And I'm not even a Democrat.

If you want to open your own cab business with your 1992 toyota, I don't care! It should be legal.

If you want to open your own garden in your back yard and sell the produce in your driveway, I don't care!

Americans are not free.

If you don't have a right "to work" or reap benefits of your work and time you are a slave to the corporate fascism in this country.

Maybe I will. But i bet their are thousands of other people more suited in doing it. Maybe we should ALL do it? Change the game, grass roots style.
