The position is Parking Garage Desk Attendant/Custodian

Duties: Answering Phones, completing transactions with day parkers, handling cash

Taking out trash, sweeping garage, and storage area, cleaning elevators and replacing lightbulbs

Applicant must have a good work ethic and people skills

Pay............................................... ...................................$9.00 an hour

Ridiculous and the sad part is they know someone is desperate enough to take the job. This company is all about dirty Business.

How is that an example of taking advantage of unemployed people?

That sounds about the right rate for a position like that.

Agreed.

How much does the OP think this position should pay?

If I were still in high school, this job's gravy.

Sounds fine for the job and a starting wage. Surely you have a few "clients" who would welcome the opportunity to apply for such a position. Maybe you should pass it on to them rather than creating a thread about it.

I will not pass on to them because the hours are horrible and the pay is even worst.

It's two positions but they combined both of them which means the person would be a cashier and a custodian which is crazy.

So they keep the place clean when they're not handling transactions? Doesn't sound too crazy to me. Lots of jobs have multiple responsibilities, even those that require minimum skill.

"While you're cleaning the elevator , keep an out for cars coming in needing to be parked."

What is the pay?

I was thinking the issue would have been currently working OR they need a degree for the job.
