i had my interview and sent out thank you emails to everyone. I decided to end those emails with "Thank you for the consideration and I look forward to hearing back from you."
However, I am working through a recruiter who will deliver the good or bad news. I just wrote that line in the email as a standard close. Would hiring managers find this line odd given that it's clear the recruiter is the intermediary? I'm just curious for future reference.
You're over-thinking things. You easily could have meant via the recruiter.
