Here is the situation. I left my job in a radh decision that had little to do with the job and more ot do with the city and my living situation. I moved to chicago with a new job, which I started 1 month ago. I havent done any real work at the job yet, but would probably start a project in the next week, so i need to decide soon.

Old job (Buffalo NY):
pros:
easy going
I like my coworkers
I have friends in area

cons:
Buffalo, not a big fan

New job (Chicago IL)
Pros: Chicago
Potentially more diverse experience

Cons:
Not as good of company
less stable
no interaction with coworkers

Pay: Same at both places
Benefits: About the same

The big thing is I have to pay back almost 20k in sign on bonuses unless I go back. I should have waited 5 months until my anniversary date but I was so desperate to leave for some reason I just didnt think hard about it. Now I realize it was a bad financial decision.

I know my old job will have me back, my new job would be pissed but such is life. I always did want to live in big city so leaving chicago for buffalo is my main concern.

Thoughts?

Stay in Chicago. It's only been a month. It's going to take some time to build relationships with your new co-workers and to get some projects under your belt.
