I just recently graduated from college with a liberal arts degree in Geography, but have mostly worked in IT doing desktop with several part time jobs and internships. I'm kind of lost right now. I want to get out of desktop support entirely and work for a developer specializing in urban renewal projects, but I probably will need to get a masters or MBA for that.

So in the mean time, I was going to try to find a job, but I don't know what to look for. I don't know what's out there for liberal arts majors, and I don't really want to go into teaching. Most of the jobs I looked at, usually require a specific degree and at least 3-5 years of experience. Anyone ever been in this same situation or have any advice?

Thanks,

Jon

Talk to your local Realtor's Association or General Contractor's Association. You would probably like a job in real estate development. I once worked for a company that were real estate developers, general contractors and property managers. I loved it and learned so much. We worked on several urban renewal and revitilization projects. It was way cool. Good luck.
